Bill Kicks Off Weekend With Senator Schumer, Collection of Prominent Elected Officials

Bill Thompson kicked off the weekend before election day by campaigning in Brooklyn, Harlem and Washington Heights. Bill was joined by elected officials and enthusiastic supporters at every stop.

Beginning at the Grand Army Plaza farmers market in Brooklyn, Bill was joined by United States Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) and Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-9) as the three greeted shoppers. Thompson then went to a rally in Bed Stuy and caravaned throughout Brooklyn with former Mayor David Dinkins, Public Advocate candidate Bill de Blasio, Comptroller candidate John Liu, State Senator Eric Adams, State Senator Velmanette Montgomery, Assembly Member Hakeem Jeffries, Council Member Letitia James, and Council Member Al Vann.

Following the morning in Brooklyn, Bill departed for Harlem and Washington Heights where he participated in two more caravans. Joining him in Harlem were Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-8) and Congressman Charles B. Rangel (D-15). In Washington Heights he walked with Fernando Ferrer, Assembly Member Adriano Espaillat and Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez.
