Bill Thompson Greets Commuters at St. George Terminal, Holds Press Conference at Whitehall

This morning Bill Thompson greeted commuter’s at Staten Island’s St. George Terminal, before riding the ferry to Manhattan where he held a press conference on the decreasing affordability of New York City.
At St. George Terminal Bill was warmly greeted by riders who wished him luck and praised his performance in last night’s debate.
During the press conference at Whitehall Terminal Bill stressed that the middle class of New York City is being driven out in large numbers due to the rocketing water rates, property taxes and MTA fares. At the same time these same increases are driving up the number of homeless throughout the city.
