Too early to debate but not too early to spend $7.5 million on advertisements?

Bill Thompson Responds To Mayor Bloomberg’s Budget

"His plan to increase the sales tax further is regressive and would serve to balance the budget on the backs of the small business owners and hard-working middle class residents of this City, who already face steep increases in water rates and transit fares. Instead, I once again advocate for a temporary increase in the Personal Income Tax on individuals making $500,000 or more annually.  Amid this recession, no one should be immune, and we must ensure that any financial burdens are spread more equitably."
