- Bill Spearheaded an initiative allowing City funds to be deposited in the following bank branches in underserved communities:
- Victory State Bank (Stapleton/ Rosebank)
- Victory State Bank (St. George)
- Through its Economically Targeted Investments program, the New York City Pension Funds have directly and indirectly invested $11.9 million dollars to create and rehabilitate 51 units of single and multi family housing in Staten Island.
- Through its Real Estate program, The Funds have invested and committed nearly $ 3 million in Staten Island. This residential project is being developed by City Investment Fund and is planned to build a town home community for “active adults” aged 55 and older. Approvals are underway.
- “Save Our Homes Initiative” at the College of Staten Island – October 25, 2008
- Co-sponsored an “Operation Protect Your Home” forum with the New York State Senate Democratic Conference, the New York State Banking Department and lending institutions at the College of Staten Island – February 24, 2008.
