Match Marathon On Thursday, June 25th, people across this city are planning on attending house parties to support Bill Thompson. From Co-Op City to Coney Island, from Washington Heights to Whitestone hundreds if not thousands of people will be attending parties to show their support for Bill. Now is the time for you to get involved! Won’t you join us in helping raise the much needed matchable contributions and mobilize support for the campaign? Reach out to your bridge group, the people in your spin class, your block association and your democratic club to organize your party. The first $175 contributed by a New York City resident to New Yorkers for Thompson will be matched by the New York City Campaign Finance Board 6 to 1! Your next door neighbor’s $25 contribution is worth $150 to the campaign! We plan on turning all five boroughs into one giant party for New Yorkers for Thompson. We will have a conference call number and a webcast that each party will dial into so that Bill will be at every single party! Talk about a marathon. There will be prizes for the hosts of party that has the most attendees and the party that raises the largest amount of matchable dollars.
